Just to clarify, all references to the Lord can be replaced with “the Goddess”, because the Lord of Fodlan is the Goddess.

Summary of changes:

• Catherine’s nickname is that of her weapon.  In the English version, this would make her “Thunderbrand Catherine”.
• There is a joke option when asking about Catherine’s relic weapon.
• Edelgard doesn’t exactly say that nobody saw the Tragedy of Duscur coming, just that it was shocking/devastating.
• It is more clear that Edelgard pities the militia because Lonato is not strong enough to achieve their goal for them, not that Lonato lost his will to live.
• Catherine’s old name is Thunderjail Cassandra.
• Lonato calls Rhea a female fox, instead of a witch.
• Ferdinand doesn’t call Lonato a monster, just not worthy of being a noble.
• Edelgard says you must eliminate those with views of justice that conflict with your own, not that other people’s ideas of justice are unreasonable.
• Edelgard is more direct in that she will sacrifice lives when she becomes Emperor.
• Seteth uses a Japanese expression used when talking about mobilizing the students.

Summary of changes:

• It is more clear the Knights of Seiros are actively cornering the enemy at Zanado to make it as easy as possible for the students, rather than just keeping things under control.
• Jeralt is more specific on what he handled when you were both mercenaries.  He didn’t handle everything, just the negotiations.
• Jeralt talks about you being accustomed to fighting alongside “your old man”, rather than being used to fighting bandits.
• Dorothea doesn’t look down on bandits specifically.  She only mentions the enemies are at a level that they should be able to win without problems.
• Lindhart elaborates on why Dorothea’s optimism is unfounded.
• Lindhart had a line about not trying too hard that was simplified.
• Petra’s response to that line is more appropriate.
• Edelgard talks about “necessary sacrifices” on her first kill.
• Kostas and Edelgard’s dialogue isn’t about “noble vs commoner”, but about “those that have suffered vs those who haven’t”.  Thus there is more poeticism in Edelgard’s response.
• Byleth remembers Zanado being more busier, rather than peaceful.

Based on a Reddit vote, I will be doing the Black Eagles route first.  I will hold another vote when the route splits again.

Summary of changes:

• Lindhart’s mention of Japanese Keigo (honorific speech) was simplified.
• Petra uses an expression with “fat bellies” that is hard to translate.
• Dorothea has different responses for Male and Female Byleth.
• Petra doesn’t understand that “arm” also means “ability” in Japanese.
• Ferdinand gets to prattle on more about the responsibilities of the nobility.
• Edelgard starts calling Byleth “師”, which she pronounces “Sensei” but means Master (in a master-apprentice relationship).
• Hanneman is much less wordy.
• Edelgard feels more arrogant in her dialogue overall.
• Edelgard reveals she prefers her opposition to give minimal resistance.
• Dimitri tells you not to overdo it, which is hilarious.
• Dimitri is more clear that Dedue, Mercedes, and himself will stay still.
• Claude almost actually convinced you to go easy on him.
• Edelgard foreshadows her mercy to Claude.
• Edelgard likes it when you are arrogant as well.
• Edelgard attempts a more convincing friendship speech, but it’s still awkward.
• Seteth explains that students do missions instead of community service.
• The Flame Emperor reveals some different information.

Summary of changes:

• The Japanese narrator does not announce the part number.
• Edelgard already has a distaste for Garreg Mach in the cutscene which I hadn’t noticed in the English version
• The Officers Academy is just “military academy”.
• Jeralt claims you were born “several years after” the incident, as opposed the “many years after” in the English version.
• The houses are called “classes” and have nicknames not used in the English version.
• Although the text translates directly to Black Eagle, Blue Lion, and Golden Deer, the readings pronounced as the nickname.
• The Black Eagles is read as “Adlerklasse”, Eagle Class in German.
• The Blue Lions is read as “Löwenklasse”, Lion Class in German.
• The Golden Deer is read as “Hirschklasse”, Deer Class in German.
• Seteth feels a bit less harsh, but still harsh.
