  • Alois: Why, you suddenly becoming a teacher…[1]Alois’ first line makes it sound like he’s surprised you became a professor, but then reveals that it was his idea all along. Were you surprised that I recommended you to become the third one?
  • To tell you the truth, the teacher who was supposed to be in charge completely ran away back then from the aforementioned bandits.
  • Abandoning the students even once is reason enough to never rely on them again!
  • Seteth: You rescued students that were just passing by… I can at least appreciate that about you.
  • Now, you should go around inside the monastery and greet everyone.
  • Alois: Ha! I imagine you were a bit surprised that I recommended you as a professor here.
  • Frankly, we had someone else in mind for the role, but they ran off during our dustup with the bandits.
  • Can’t entrust students to someone who’s abandoned them once before, huh?
  • Seteth: You saved the lives of the students you came across. That, at least, was admirable.

  • Though they lured me back, I’m only a proxy of sorts.  Looks like the current knights’ captain is at an old age.
  • It appears he’s not able to do most of his practical work.  And do an awful lot of his duties are gonna be passed to me.

  • That said, I’m merely here to assist. Apparently the current captain is getting on in years.

↑16 Raphael talks like a big lug, using simple speech.  I believe he tries to call himself “ore” but his accent or massive jaw makes him says “ode”.
↑17 Lorenz uses the refined “boku” when addressing himself.  He uses honorific form when referring to himself as well, like Hanneman.
There is more arrogance in his greeting than Lysithea’s.
