A powerful song about the differences between immortal and mortals. The singer of this song is an immortal of some sort (maybe Doremy since she’s a youkai) who simultaneously admires and is confused by the seemingly insignificant human life. She then turns to reflecting on her own immortal life, unable to understand what that is either.

Requested by Kuro Usagi. The title, Flickering Surface, has a double meaning. Surface can mean surface of water, but it can also mean user interface. One flickering surface is the waters where Hiryuu sank, and the other surface your screen playing KanColle where she is reborn.
To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of the original Pandemonic Planet. However, you can really throw out a lot of parts and make it into something incredible, such as this inspiring motivational song. Touhou Jihen completely transformed the theme into something new and I’m a huge fan of it. Also, that’s two songs translated now where Hecatia is bored.
