hirari harari chiru hana wa yamato nadeshiko
sakura fubuki maichiru wa shuupuutaitou
hirari harari odoru yukikami ni tokeyuku
hanafubuki maiodoru wa yamiyo no shijima
This softly, gently falling flower is a traditional Japanese woman
And the flurry of cherry blossoms that dances down is the warm spring weather
Softly, gently, snow melts in my hair
the cherry petal storm dances in the silence of the moonless night
ikuoku no namida sakihokoru wa ai
oborodzuki yoake haruurara wo matsu (asa hikari)
The billions of blooming tears are of love
The misty dawn waits for the beauty of spring (morning light)
hirari harari hakanai sakura
utsukushiku chiru ga sadame ka
hakusetsu tsumoru wa daikoku no
haru wa otozure urarakani
saredo ikusa wa yawaragu nakare
moyuru kagerou taoyakani
Soft, gentle, fleeting cherry blossom
Are you destined to beautifully fall?
The piled up white snow is from this great country
Spring calls, gloriously
Though it may be so that war shalt not abate
the ripples of the sunset glow gracefully
hirari harari kazahana wa ikusa ni omomuki
ten wa terashite utsuru wa kyoukasuigetsu
hirari harari sayoshigure hana wo sasou
pinto ikusa wa ni mai shizakura no kaben
Softly, gently, the winter wind blows towards war
The Heavens illuminate and flicker, they are intangible reflections
Softly, gently, inviting a light night’s drizzle in spring
a focused war is like two petals of dying cherry blossoms
kasane no irome kanzashi wo sashi
asasou hyoumu soji wa unmei no hana wo sakasu (azayakani)
Putting a hairpin into colorful layers of garments
The foundation of a shallow ice fog blooms forth the flowers of destiny (vibrantly)
hirari harari aa chiru hana wa
yamato nadeshiko sakura otome
ikusen no yume wo mita unabara no
fuyu wa sugiyuku
Softly, gently, oh, the falling cherry blossom
is a Traditional Japanese Cherry Blossom Maiden
For the ocean that has seen thousands of dreams
winter finally passes
hirari harari hakanai sakura
utsukushiku chiru ga sadame ka
hakusetsu tsumoru wa daikoku no
haru wa otozure urarakani
saredo ikusa wa yawaragu nakare
moyuru kagerou taoyakani
Soft, gentle, fleeting cherry blossom
Are you destined to beautifully fall?
The piled up white snow is from this great country

Though it may be so that war shalt not abate
the ripples of the sunset glow gracefully

Who is this singing? Yamato?

It is never specified, but one can imagine Yamato is singing metaphorically about herself

That’s what it sounds like. Cherry Blossoms are symbolic of Japan, and Yamato is an ancient name for Japan itself…
